Cultural Quarter Earlies X Cameron Twins @ LPW
Saturday 9th
October
2021
Cultural Quarter Earlies is a series of free family activities in Leicester's Cultural Quarter, taking place on the second Saturday of every month.

On Saturday 9th October 2021 Cultural Quarter Earlies collaborated with the Cameron Twins exhibition - 'Re-imagined Recollections’, at the Leicester Print workshop.

Providing a cultural activity for children based on the Cameron Twins’ artwork, which was showing at the venue during this time.

The free workshop comprised of an activity where the children were prompted to create their own ‘Cameron Twins’ inspired collages.

The participants cut up photocopies of artwork seen on display in the exhibition, before collaging them onto the brightly coloured paper provided (inspired by the exhibitions’ significantly bright colour palettes).

This process allowed the children to create and design their own surreal compositions inspired by the work they had seen in the show around them. Encouraging them to use their imaginations to physically engage with the artwork, and learn about artistic processes and explore new techniques.
The workshop took place place alongside LCB Depots popular Easy Saturday event, a programme which includes free workshops and activities for children and families at each venue.
